Kazimiera (Elizabeth) WASKO maiden name SZKODA, was born on September 26, 1949, in Zamosc, Poland. She moved to England in 1970 and married Jan WASKO at St Patrick's Church, Oldham in 1972. Soon two children followed and 'Kazia' began her involvement in the Polish Community in Oldham. Kazia's involvement in the Polish Community culminated in her being the chair of the Oldham Polish Catholic Community and the Polish Club on Chamber Road for over 10 years. She was proudly awarded a Silver Cross of Service by the Polish Government for her work and services to the Polish Community. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew her. She was a much loved grandmother of three grandchildren and leaves behind family and extended family in Poland, Belgium, England and Australia. .
